Jeremy's New Favorite Book.

OK, you would think, that because Jeremy is only 4.5 months old, he wouldn't have a lot of interest in books yet..but you would be mistaken, because apparently...he does.
We kind of already knew this, because we bought him his first cloth book over a month ago, when he showed A LOT of interest in it at a book store....but yesterday, I went to a Discovery Toys Party at my friend Lauren's house, and I bought a couple of things for him including this book.
WELL....Let me tell you....we brought it home and read it to him before bed, and he couldn't get enough....The pictures have little flaps you can pull down, and every time we did, he would laugh.
He somehow figured out that he could turn pages, and so he kept trying to do that. When I finished reading the book to him, I put it down, and he started crying and grabbing at it!!! I ended up reading it to him three times...LOL!

We said peek-a boo every time we opened a flap.. and he thought that was a great game.....


Discovery toys is actually quite an interesting company. Apparently they have been around for a long time, and they have lifetime garantees on their products. The consultant even told me that if you find a discovery toy at a garage sale and it is missing a piece, they will find it if they can....
I am considering becoming a consultant just so I can get a cheaper price on toys for myself and the kids I babysit....

Well Baby Checkup!

Jeremy and I went this morning for his well baby checkup.....He is such a little sweety. He was hungry and not feeling well, but he still had the energy to flirt with my female doctor, and smile for her when she was poking and prodding him.....
Everything looks great! He is 13 lbs 5 oz which is smaller then what Kendal and I had guessed...(When you are carrying him in that car seat he may as well be 50 lbs....)
and he is actually at the 10th percentile right now, which makes him a very small 4.5 month old....but the doctor said not to worry because he is still growing and he is all the right proportions for his size. He is thriving and so it doesn't matter too much...She said solid foods still at 6 months, and to just keep doing what we are doing. I love a good report!

Jeremy's favorite book.-Quacky Duck...

Jeremy is going to be a book lover. Until about two weeks ago, Jer showed no interest in any kind of toy at all....not even the hanging ones above his chair....then....we went into a book store....and the lights went on. Just for fun, we showed him some kids books, and he got really excited!!!! We ended up buying him the one that excited him the most, which was the one in the picture. It has crinkly pages, bright colors...and of course...a squeaking duck. Since then we have bought him several others including a talking Elmo book,,,one of the ones which you push the buttons on and gst different music or characters talking....he loves it, and gets so excited he tries to kick his way off my lap....Yesterday we spent 45 minutes checking out pictures in a cookbook because he liked the pictures.......

Itsy Bitsy Spider Boy

Jeremy is almost 4 months old!

Wow! It's hard to believe that my little boy is already almost 4 months old! It seems such a short time since I quit my job at Bobcat.....
He has been such a joy too. He is still a really good baby. Barely ever cries....although after sleeping through the night once...he got a cold and is back to waking up twice a night.....
Oh well....

YAAAA!

Yesterday, my little man slept through the night....seven hours....In his own basinet! I don't really expect him to do it every night yet, but it was a nice start.....Last night though...no such luck. He got cold around 2 am, and I ended up having to bring him to bed....BUT we are getting there! He is soooo freakin cute..and such a great baby! Barely ever makes a sound....Luv it!

Awwww....

My son loves me, but not always. When he's fed and dry, he likes me, but when he's hungry.... I guess it's beause I'm the lactose-free parent, or as Paul says I only have milk-duds.

Big Boy!.

Jeremy turned 3 months old on April 10....So far he is an amazingly good baby....Only cries when he is hungry or has a really valid reason. He doesn't seem to be in a huge hurry to do anything, but he does smile and laugh, and as of today has started to bat his toys around. There doesn't seem to be any problems with his hearing or vision, and although he wakes up twice a night, it is only ever for about five minutes at a time....
I think we will keep him.

We went in for his first shots on Wed.

He did cry for that....
Poor guy-a shot in both legs...
and he was very miserable for the rest of the night.
However, he is in the 50th percentile for his height and weight...
He is 11 lbs 14 oz....

In my room...

Well, we have already lost one battle...LOL! Jeremy is three months old and still sleeping in my room.....
So much for my lofty ambitions...
In fact, about half of the time he is still sleeping with us....
We are working on it, but I think it is part of his deceptive plan to stay in our room till he is ten...
I think whether he likes it or not though, he is going to meet his crib by the end of the month...
Not sure how that will go, and I am half expecting some sleepless nights, but we will see....
He doesn't have much choice though. He is going to outgrow the basinet!




The sheep are Jeremy's favorite toy....Every time I put him in the basinet, he smiles and talks to them. There is also a music box attached which he also likes. He is really going to really miss his bed...
